Progress continues at the Mayfield site as we prepare for the next phase

The transformation of the Mayfield site has reached another significant milestone with the completion of the demolition of the old Newcastle Distribution Centre (NDC).

This crucial step in our project has set the stage for the next exciting phase of development, and we’re thrilled to share the latest updates with you.

With the demolition phase now behind us, our focus has shifted to laying the groundwork for the new structures. The concreting work is progressing, thanks to the efforts of our dedicated project managers and task supervisors.

They have done an outstanding job in coordinating a large team of contractors, ensuring that every detail is meticulously executed and that the project stays on track.

As we continue to make strides in our development efforts, we are eagerly anticipating the arrival of most of our machines. Scheduled to begin arriving from mid-August, these machines are critical components that will drive the operational capabilities of our new facility.

The arrival of these machines marks the beginning of the next phase: installation. Set to kick off in late September, the installation process will involve not only the machines themselves but also the ancillary equipment necessary for a fully functional Mesh plant.

Our teams are already preparing for this complex task, ensuring that everything is in place for a seamless transition into the operational phase.
