Innovation, Local Jobs, and a Sustainable Future: Special Visitors to our Forrestfield Site

24 February 2025

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting WA Premier Roger Cook, Hon. Reece Whitby MLA, and Stephen Price MLA at our Forrestfield site. They got a first-hand look at how we make our rebar, mesh, and pile cages—components that are key to building a sustainable energy future for Australia.

During the visit, our guests toured the facility and saw our manufacturing process in action. It was a great opportunity for them to see how our work helps build the structures needed for Australia’s evolving electricity network. We believe that by using Australian Made steel and focusing on local jobs, we’re not just building products—we’re building a future.

Our WA general manager, Michael Hurley, summed it up perfectly when he said,

“It was a real treat to show our visitors what we do every day. Our team’s hard work and dedication truly reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability. We’re proud to be a part of Australia’s future.”

Here at InfraBuild, we are uniquely positioned to support local industry. With our extensive capabilities, robust supply chain, and significant production capacity, we enable local businesses to actively participate in manufacturing across the energy infrastructure sector. This not only strengthens our local economy but also ensures that Australia’s energy network is built with homegrown expertise.

This visit was more than just a tour—it was a chance to highlight how modern manufacturing can help future-proof our nation’s electricity network. By integrating our products into the infrastructure, we’re playing a part in making sure that Australia’s energy systems are ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

We’re excited about what the future holds and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of sustainable manufacturing.
