At InfraBuild, we are proud to celebrate the rich diversity of our people and this month across our sites we have taken time to celebrate and embrace the many differences that make us who we are.
Earlier this month it was International Women’s Day and at InfraBuild 14% of our workforce are women.
Under the theme of Inspire Inclusion, we created a short series called, Women in Steel, and each day of the week in the lead up to International Women’s Day we highlighted the stories of six women in our organisation, to inspire and hopefully encourage other women to join InfraBuild:
Vanessa Bhardwaj, Data Scientist and Electronics and Communications Engineer
Lily Collins, Non-Ferrous Trading Manager
Courtney Duddridge, Project Delivery Coordinator
Michelle Romeo and Lynda Fogarty, team members at our Sydney Melt Shop
Hilary Scott, Group General Counsel
These are very inspiring stories and I encourage you to share these with anyone who is considering a career in our industry.
Continuing with our diversity and inclusion activities this month, we took time to celebrate Harmony Day. Team members brought in food, some even dressed up in their traditional attire, and it was a time for us to acknowledge the rich diversity in our teams, take a stand against discrimination and celebrate our different cultural heritages.
While it is very important for us to take the time to recognise the importance of these days and come together to celebrate, for us at InfraBuild, every day we are all committed to respect, equality, diversity and inclusion in all our work.
Stay safe,
Francisco Irazusta
