A new era in steel fabrication: Launceston welcomes the Kinetic 5000

Steel fabrication in Tasmania has taken a giant leap forward with the arrival of InfraBuild’s Kinetic 5000 plate processing machine at our Launceston Steel Centre. To mark the occasion, we hosted a launch event that brought together customers, industry leaders, and special guests—including local MP Michael Ferguson—who all witnessed firsthand the machine’s game-changing capabilities. 

With over 30 customers in attendance, the day was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how the Kinetic 5000 will revolutionise steel processing in Tasmania.

1. Processing capabilities: HD Plasma Cutting, Oxy Profiling, Drilling, Tapping, Complex Bevelling, Threading, Milling, Part Marking, Scribing, Counter Sinking and Counter Boring, and Etching.
2. Specifications: Can cut up to 200mm thick plate, handle plate sizes up to 3400mm x 15000mm, and drill holes up to 100mm in diameter.
