Brisbane Ferry Terminals

InfraBuild Steel Centre – Coopers Plains has been involved in an exciting project supplying product for the upgrade and construction of two Brisbane ferry terminals – both important, priority projects for Brisbane City Council. 

The project builder is Fitzgerald Constructions Australia Pty Ltd. InfraBuild worked closely with our customer Sun Engineering P/L. 

Two terminals are currently under construction, the Howard Smith Wharves Ferry Terminal and the South Bank Ferry Terminal. InfraBuild supplied approximately 510 tonnes of Hot Rolled Structural, 70 tonnes of RHS/SHS and 340 tonnes of steel plate.   

Offsite fabrication commenced in late 2020 – with both terminals due for completion late 2021.

The involvement of our InfraBuild Steel Centre team at Coopers Plains in this project highlights the importance of local involvement on large projects, and encourages the sustainability of our communities, our economy and supports growth of local businesses.
