
Sanjeev Gupta
Executive Chairman, GFG Alliance
Sanjeev Gupta is the Executive Chairman of GFG Alliance, which encompasses a range of global businesses owned by his family. Born into a family of industrialists in Punjab, India, Sanjeev was educated in the UK and graduated with an MA in Economics and Management from the University of Cambridge. He founded Liberty House Group in 1992, while still an undergraduate, as a global commodities trader, growing rapidly across different geographies for over two decades.
In 2015 Sanjeev started his industrial journey buying and restarting his first steel mill in the UK. Since then he has built an international reputation as an ambitious and visionary industrialist acquiring and building major assets in metals, engineering, mining, and renewable energy spread across the world. Sanjeev lives with his wife, Nicola, and their three young children in London.


Francisco Irazusta
CEO & Executive Director
Francisco Irazusta joined InfraBuild in October 2023 as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, and is a member of the Board.
Francisco has more than 25 years’ experience in senior leadership positions across building products, manufacturing, mining, and steel industries globally.
Prior to joining InfraBuild, Francisco was Chairman and CEO of Spanish seamless pipe manufacturer and distributor Tubos Reunidos, where he oversaw the business’s return to profit in 2022.
He previously served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Fletcher Building; a listed building products manufacturer based in New Zealand. Prior to this he was Chief Executive of Fletcher Building’s International Businesses, and Chief Executive of Light Building Products.
Francisco has a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University, New York, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from State University of New York, at Alfred University, New York, USA.

Sandip Biswas
Non-Executive Director
Sandip is GFG Alliance’s Chief Investment Officer and the Interim CEO for LIBERTY Primary Steel and Mining, responsible for delivering sustained commercial and investment performance, playing a key role in supporting the group’s debt restructuring and transformation plans, areas in which he has deep expertise. Sandip is responsible for leading GFG’s efforts to become carbon neutral by 2030 (CN30), applying his strong track record in developing decarbonisation projects.
He has for nearly two decades held senior and board level positions in Tata Steel’s top JVs and subsidiaries, including Group Executive Vice President, Finance, for Tata Steel Limited, where he oversaw the group’s financing strategies, including capital structure, mergers and acquisitions and capital raising activities.
In July 2019 he became Tata Steel Europe’s Executive Director, responsible for driving the company’s transformation programme and was appointed to the board. Most recently Sandip was the Chairman of Tata Steel UK.

Monica Middleton
Independent Non-Executive Director
Monica was appointed as a non-executive director for InfraBuild in December 2022. With more than 30 years in industry and commerce, she has held executive positions at a wide range of blue-chip organisations such as Dyson Electronics, the BBC and BBDO, as well as SMEs targeting accelerated growth in financial, environmental and social impact performance. Monica has expertise across business strategy, business development, marketing & comms, impact investing and ESG and for the past decade has focused this blend of skills as a non-executive director, committee chair and Board advisor.
Alongside InfraBuild, she is a non-executive director for Cafédirect Group plc and The Guardian Share Company and previously served on the Boards of The Ethical Property Company, Liberty Steel Group and Women in Social Finance. She holds an MSc in Sustainability & Responsibility and a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration.

Michael Morley
Independent Non-Executive Director
Michael is an accomplished senior executive and Non-Executive Director with extensive operational and strategic experience in the Mining & Metals sector and Business Development. He has successfully led operations across Australia, Europe and the US, and worked in Australia, the UK and Europe.
His involvement in the steel industry and with the InfraBuild business spans nearly 30 years, beginning when he worked as an M&A/corporate lawyer at Clayton Utz advising Smorgon Steel Group, a predecessor to today's InfraBuild. Michael went on to serve as General Counsel at Smorgon Steel Group and played a key role in its merger with OneSteel in 2007. Following the merger, Michael joined global mining and metals company Nyrstar based in London and Switzerland. At Nyrstar, Michael held several senior roles, eventually leading the Metals Processing division, the world's largest zinc producer and an important supplier to the global steel industry. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing operations at seven sites across Europe, the US and Australia, employing around 3,000 people. He also led the flagship project to revitalise the ageing Port Pirie lead smelter in South Australia. Michael was GFG Alliance’s Development Director and Deputy CEO for two years from 2017, during which time he led the acquisition of the former Arrium/OneSteel business. As a qualified lawyer, Michael brings significant governance, corporate and M&A experience.
Michael is Chair of Developing East Arnhem Limited (appointed by Rio Tinto and the Northern Territory Government) and an Independent Non-Executive Chair of Energy Renaissance and Modra Technology.

Jeffrey Kabel
Non-Executive Director
Jeffrey is a commercial leader with extensive experience in trading and asset optimisation within the metals & mining and energy industries. He is currently Liberty’s Group Chief Transformation Officer, leading restructuring and turnaround efforts focused on high-value premium products and optimising the Group's asset base in the UK.
Previously, Jeffrey was Executive Director at JP Morgan, where he led the firm’s global ferrous commodity efforts, and he also held a similar role at Koch Industries. He has served as Chairman of the International Steel Trade Association (ISTA) and played a key role in advocating for cost competitiveness in the steel sector. Additionally, he has contributed to industry policy discussions through his involvement with the UK Steel Council.
Jeffrey’s deep industry knowledge and leadership experience bring valuable insight to InfraBuild’s board.

Roland Junck
Independent Non-Executive Director
Roland Junck is a steel industry leader with 40 years of experience working at the highest levels in the global metals sector.
Roland was previously the first CEO of the combined ArcelorMittal group in 2006, and throughout his career, he has held prominent roles, including CEO of Nyrstar N.V., a global mining and metals company, and CEO & Chairman of British Steel.
He joined LIBERTY Steel Group as a Non-Executive member in 2020, giving strategic oversight to the group’s decarbonisation plans. In July 2024 Roland was appointed as the President of the French steel producer, Novasco.
Roland holds a Finance qualification from Harvard, an MBA from Sacred Heart University in Luxembourg, and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Roland commenced as a non-executive director for InfraBuild in March 2025.
