InfraBuild Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

November 18, 2024 – InfraBuild, a leading Australian integrated steel manufacturing, distribution, and recycling company, today announced changes to its Board of Directors. Roland Junck, a respected steel industry leader with 40 years of experience in the global metals sector, will join the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director (NED). Andrea Slattery, who has served as a valued Board member, has stepped down from the Board to pursue other professional opportunities.

Roland brings a deep understanding of the global steel and metals industry, holding executive leadership positions across major companies. Roland was previously the first CEO of the combined ArcelorMittal group in 2006, and throughout his career, he has held prominent roles, including CEO of Nyrstar N.V., a global mining and metals company, and CEO & Chairman of British Steel. He joined LIBERTY Steel Group [as a Non-Executive member] in 2020, giving strategic oversight to the group’s decarbonisation plans. In July 2024 Roland was appointed as the President of the French steel producer, Novasco. Roland holds a Finance qualification from Harvard, an MBA from Sacred Heart University in Luxembourg, and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Andrea Slattery, who has contributed immensely to the Board including through her role as Co-Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee, departs to explore other professional opportunities. During her time on the Board, she has focused on strengthening corporate governance within the company and driving InfraBuild’s sustainability initiatives. Ms Slattery is a highly regarded director in Australia including ASX-listed companies.

Roland will join Michael Morley, Monica Middleton, and Dak Patel as Non-Executive Directors.
